ONE DAY AT A TIME
In the old days, I saw everything in the terms of forever.
Endless hours were spent rehashing old mistakes.
 I tried to take comfort in the forlorn hope that tomorrow "would be different" As a result,
I lived a fantasy life in which happiness was all but nonexistent.
No wonder I rarely smiled and hardly ever laughed aloud.
"Forever"  that an indelible word."
now may each day in each New Year be freshened by my new-found hope.

Nashville area Members And their GA Birthday's

Note:
Each meeting GA members write down in the log book their name and the date of their last bet.
This date will be their GA birthday.
This date is very important because for most, it is now just as important as the date they were born ,
this is the day they decided to live a again.
In the first year a new member will have several birthday.
Just like a new born baby,  we count the days and months,
for we would all say the first year is always the hardest.
By the time we have settled in and untwisted the tangled ball of twine that our lives are hanging from,
it can truly be truly a trying time.
As we move closer into our recovery we find with time the days become months then years.
But even with time we all know we are always moments away from the next bet.

GA Members celebrate with a key chain. " NO, not a chip."
At the first meeting, they receive a welcome key chain
for the 1st year there will be a 30 Day, 60 Day, 90 Day, 6 Month and then 9 Month,
then they receive their 1 Year Pin
Every year will be recognized and congratulated and appreciated by all GA members.
For time brings the strength to the room. And that's the best reward and gift of all.
